ABOUT US
Adman International was set up in 1975 by Nael Toukan and is today Sweden’s oldest translation agency. The company’s Chief Operating Officer is Elena Toukan – a public procurement expert who has won hundreds of procurement contracts for Swedish governmental authorities and municipalities. We cooperate closely with the leading translators in the country, who work in 265 different languages and dialects.
As a well-established actor in the industry, it is natural for us to nurture our relations. Our goal is to build long-term relations with our customers by providing high-quality translation services, and build long-lasting relationships with our translators by ensuring decent terms for those we enlist.

Our project capacity
For many years now, a lot of the translation projects of other agencies have ended up with us, in particular when it comes to more complex projects involving less common languages, with other alphabets and a different directionality. One of the reasons for this is our well-documented ability to handle these assignments, with all that it entails in the form of experience and internal resources to deal with graphic production in all its stages. Another is the broad network of professional translators that we have built up over the years in Adman International.
Express translations
To us, nothing is difficult or impossible when it comes to express translations. Call or write to us and together we will resolve your urgent translation needs or provide express language reviewing and proofing, quickly and accurately.
Our translators
Adman International has a long tradition to only use native language translators; and not base its operations on the often inflexible so-called translation tools. We prefer living translators, since language itself is a living entity. Another of our principles is to let our translation assignments stay in Sweden – for reasons of security in particular, we do not wish to risk the integrity of our customers and their clients by outsourcing assignments beyond our more direct control.
Authorised translators
For verified translations, often a requirement in the translation of personal documentation, degree diplomas, court findings, etc., translators authorised by the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Kammarkollegiet) must be enlisted. Usually a translator is authorised to translate into his or her mother tongue. Nael Toukan, the founder of Adman International, for example, is one of Sweden’s best qualified authorised translators into Arabic.
GRAPHIC PRODUCTION
Another service which Adman International offers is graphic production in all the world’s languages, text direction from left to right, from right to left or even from top to bottom. One advantage with letting us do the graphic production is that we can work direct in the original file with comprehension of the translated language, therefore putting everything in its correct place for you.
In that way, the translation can be carried out without negative impact on the layout or design. In addition, you avoid having to buy the expensive non-Latin fonts such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian, etc.
Delivery of the files is done smoothly, since we work in most design programs, for example InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Fireworks. You send the file, we fix the rest, precisely as free from hassle as it should be.
